Understanding bowling ball surfaces and being able to make adjustments when needed is extremely important. The cover stock of the bowling ball is what makes up 70% of a bowling ball's reaction so it's crucial that the correct surface is being used.
Typical amounts of surface for bowling ball cover stocks are: 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, and shined. These surfaces are listed from earliest to latest regarding when your bowling ball will hook when applied. Understanding and being able to manipulate bowling ball surfaces will help take your game to the next level.

Can you have a video where you go up the grit line. This will give us an idea on how a ball reacts at different grits.
Don Webster lower the number, “more” hook. Really just reads the lane earlier. Which makes it appear to hook more. But really it’s just hooking for a longer time than if you use a higher number.
