  2. I watched the PBA50 in person this week in Hammond, IN. A lot of the bowlers were throwing the ball all week. During final 16 and 8, John Burkett, Chris Barnes, Eugene McCune, Tom Hess and Brian LeClair through this ball and it looked good for all of them. Burkett won the the title with this ball.

  4. My understanding is, the closer to the thumb the PSA is, the more symmetric the ball rolls, the further away, the more asymmetric the ball rolls.
    So by moving it away from the thumb you are allowing the asym core tech to do its job rather than neutering it.

  5. I had to think about match play bonus pins HURTING, not HELPING. Near as I can figure, it would boil down to posting a 250+ game and STILL getting beat; too many players on “team 8-baggers”, not enough on “team spares”. Of course, this is keeping in mind at this level, it’s absolutely “strike for dough, miss a spare… D’OH!!” 😉
