  1. I have a proton physix, and while I like the motion of the super nova better (and u like to buy new balls), it’ll be tough to want to spend the money on something that is so minutely different on paper. With the surface looking much different between the two balls in the video, I would think that the difference is motion is primarily due to the SN being shiny.
RST-X3 is arriving on Monday, so we’ll see how that one rolls for me first.

    1. Yes, Asym Solid class has some major players: Gem, RST-X3, Proton, Super Nova, Quantum Evo Solid, Hammer Envy, etc

  2. I could see the 2 both coexisting together depending on how the Super Nova will actually play. I’ve only thrown protons and nova balls owned by my friends but when i did the protons generally feel like a very strong symmetric ball, they round out quite nice when they hook and feel continuous. The nova on the other hand feels very snappy, turns sharply, not as forgiving but gives a very strong backend reaction. So i would assume the Super Nova to be similar because of the core but to be a stronger earlier version.

I have a Roto Grip Gem myself and i still sometimes wonder if i shoulda got a Proton Physix instead. It’d be a hard ball to let go if you ask me.
